The Brockley Jack
Theatre is a comfortable fringe theatre venue adjoining the Brockley Jack Public House.
There has been a theatre at the Brockley Jack for over ten years. The venue re-opened in
December 2003, and is currently managed by Southside Arts.
The Theatre provides
an intimate performance space, with newly refurbished lighting and sound equipment.
It has comfortable cinema-style raked seating that can accommodate up to 51 people.
Performances usually run from Tuesday to Sunday. There are no performances on Mondays.

The pub serves a variety of bar snacks and meals making it a great place to spend the whole
evening. The pub itself is said to be the former haunt of highway men. Legend has it that
the name refers to Jack Law, a highway man known to frequent the area.

Rental Information The theatre can be
hired for the performance of plays, film, comedy and poetry. It is available on a weekly
basis, although one-off performances are considered. The rehearsal room (12m x 7m) is also available on a daily or weekly basis. For further information please contact

Transport
The Theatre is served
by Southern Trains to Honor Oak Park Station (15 minutes from London Bridge) and South
East Trains to Crofton Park Station (15 minutes from Blackfriars).
From Honor Oak Park
Station turn left and walk to end of the road. Turn left at the traffic lights into Brockley
Road. The theatre is situated 500 yards on your left. (Approx 10 minutes walk). From Crofton
Park Station turn left out of the station, then cross the road at the pedestrian crossing.
The Jack is 200 yards on your right. (Approx 2 minutes walk).
There are good number
of buses that link the area to the South and the Centre of London: 171, 172, 122 and P4
(stop in front of the theatre).

Stage area: 7 mts
wide x 4.5 mts deep. Two entrances either side of the stage.
Rig height: 3.3 mts.
There is a large dressing
room / rehearsal facilities (7 mts wide x 12mts deep) above the theatre.
